Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal At-Tasyri': Jurnal Hukum Islam dan Ekonomi Syariah (Islamic Law and Sharia Economics Journal) are peer-reviewed using a double-blind method. Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two reviewers. All manuscripts submitted for publication in our journal are rigorously and thoroughly reviewed by experts (including research and review articles, spontaneous submissions, and invited papers). The journal's Managing Editor will conduct an initial review of the manuscript upon receipt. The Editorial Office will then conduct a peer-review process completed by independent experts and submit at least two review reports per manuscript. We require our authors to make sufficient revisions (with a second round of peer review if necessary) before making a final decision. The Editor makes the final decision. Two peer reviewers (double-blind) will independently review each submitted article. The decision to publish, amend, or reject is based on the reports/recommendations. After review, there are four types of editorial decisions based on the reviewers' recommendations:

  1. Accepting Submission: The submission will be accepted without revision. > Required Revision: The manuscript will be accepted after minor changes have been made.
  2. Resubmit for Review: The manuscript needs to be reworked, but may be accepted with significant changes. This requires a second round of review.
  3. Resubmit to Another Venue: The article cannot be accepted because the substance of the article does not align with the field of study.
  4. Reject Submission: The manuscript will not be published in the journal.

The article may be accepted without revision, with minor revisions, major revisions, or rejected. The author will be notified of the reviewer's review results via email. Authors may revise their article based on the reviewers' (and editor's) suggestions no later than 10 weeks after the email notification.
