Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the ISC: Islamic Science Community are peer reviewed using the double blind method. A manuscript is reviewed by at least two reviewers. All manuscripts submitted for publication in our journal are rigorously and thoroughly reviewed by experts (including research and review articles, spontaneous submissions, and invited papers). The journal's Managing Editor will carry out an initial check on the suitability of the manuscript after it is received. The Editorial Office will then organize a peer-review process completed by independent experts and submit at least two review reports per manuscript. We ask our authors to undertake sufficient revisions (with a second round of peer review if necessary) before making a final decision. The editor makes the final decision. Two peer reviewers (Double-blind) will independently review each submitted article. The decision to publish, amend, or reject is based on the report/recommendation. After review, there will be four types of editorial decisions based on reviewer recommendations:

> Accept Submissions: Submissions will be accepted without revision.
> Revisions Required: Submissions will be accepted after minor changes have been made.
> Resubmission for Review: The submission needs to be reworked, but may be accepted with significant changes. This requires a second round of review.
> Resend to Another Place: The article cannot be accepted because the substance of the article does not match the field of science.
> Reject Submission: Submissions will not be published in the journal.
> View Comments: see reviewers' feedback to the Editor.

Articles may be accepted without revision, minor revisions, major revisions, or rejected. The results of articles reviewed by reviewers will be notified to the author via email. Authors can revise their articles based on reviewers' (and editors') suggestions no later than 10 weeks after email notification.
