Abstract

This article tries to present an overview of the problems along with offering solutions in learning Islamic religious education in the digital era/industrial revolution 4.0 era. This era has directly or indirectly ushered in many changes in various lines of life in Islamic religious education. Especially in relation to learning Islamic religious education in class, one example is the emergence of lectures/online learning/e-learning in the world of education. This era gave rise to the phenomenon of disruption which required the world of Islamic religious education to also adapt. Islamic religious education is now faced with new challenges, problems, demands and needs that have never existed before. So it is necessary to update and innovate the system, governance, curriculum, human resource competencies, facilities and infrastructure, culture, work ethic, and others. If not, Islamic religious education will be increasingly left behind and obsolete. Therefore, it is necessary to look for concrete steps/solutions in order to be able to apply the term scientific practice.
