Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of spiritual counseling in fostering worship discipline and its impact on Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning achievement among students at SMPN 2 Sukapura, Probolinggo Regency, East Java. The spiritual counseling was conducted using an individual-based religious approach, emphasizing self-reflection (muhasabah), dhikr, Qur’anic contemplation (tadabbur), and self-reward to develop religious awareness, self-control, and intrinsic motivation for worship. The findings indicate an improvement in students’ worship discipline, including regularity in obligatory prayers, active participation in religious activities, and awareness of worship as a spiritual necessity. This improvement positively influenced students’ time management, learning focus, and academic motivation, leading to higher PAI learning achievement. The study highlights the importance of integrating spiritual approaches in counseling services and PAI learning to develop students’ religious character and simultaneously support academic success.
