Relevansi Teori Holland Terhadap Pemilihan Karir Peserta Didik Di Era Modern: Kajian Literatur

in today’s rapidly evolving world, students are increasingly challenged to make career choices that align with their interests, abilities, and future demands. The complexity of the modern era, driven by technological advancement and the dynamics of the Industrial Revolution 5.0, often leads to confusion in career decision-making. Contributing factors include limited self-awareness, insufficient career information, and external pressures. To address these challenges, effective career guidance is essential in helping students explore their potential and make informed decisions. Holland’s Theory of Vocational Personalities (RIASEC) offers a practical framework by linking personality types with compatible work environments. This theory emphasizes the importance of personality-environment congruence in achieving career satisfaction and success. This study, through a literature review approach, analyzes how Holland’s theory remains relevant and applicable in guiding students to choose careers that suit their characteristics. The results highlight the importance of integrating personality-based assessments and digital career tools within educational institutions to support student career planning in a more systematic and personalized manner.
