The Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) has a rich cultural diversity, including traditional foods that need to be preserved from an early age. However, many early childhood children are still unfamiliar with traditional foods in their surroundings due to the lack of parental introduction and the intense influence of modern fast food. This study aims to determine the implementation profile of traditional Sasak food introduction for early childhood by PAUD teachers in Cakranegara District, Mataram City. The methodology used is a descriptive quantitative approach with a survey method. The population involved 124 PAUD teachers, with a sample of 12 teachers selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and direct observation sheets, then analyzed using percentage descriptive statistics. The results indicated that the traditional foods most dominantly introduced were plecing and klepon (66%), and klepon became the most requested food by children to be remade in school (50%). The learning media applied by all teachers (100%) utilized concrete objects (real food) combined with demonstration methods and direct practice (fun cooking). This study concludes that introducing traditional food through concrete media and direct experience is an effective strategy to build cultural literacy and introduce healthy food alternatives to early childhood.
